MK Studio is a full-service design firm specializing in custom home design, residential architectural design and consulting. We have a client-centered approach to design focusing on original, attractive, cost-effective and energy efficient homes. We work with builders, developers and, most frequently, individual clients and homeowners. The relationships we develop with clients and the collaborations we forge with builders, and craftsmen the basis of our business.

We design new homes, remodels, renovations and additions, as well as provide design consulting services that range in scale from kitchen design concepts to development-wide design guidelines. Our work can be found throughout Middle Tennessee, in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville and other Mid-South areas.

Michael Katsaitis

Principal

Michael Katsaitis is an award-winning Residential Designer concentrating on Custom Homes, Renovations and Architectural Interiors. Michael was born in Piraeus, Greece and immigrated to the United States along with his family when he was 12 years old. He was influenced at an early age by the magnificent architecture of Greece. Michael grew up in Murfreesboro and attended the University of Memphis where he received his Bachelors of Architectural Engineering in 1992. Michael returned to the Middle Tennessee area in 1995, residing in Franklin with his wife, Kathy, and their three children, Vasili, Yiota, and Eva.

Michael has over 30 years of experience within the residential building industry. He is inspired by historically, classically designed and well-proportioned vernacular architecture. He is committed to designing residences that reflect, revere and enhance their environment while providing their inhabitants with comfort. He is personally and intimately involved in each and every aspect of a project, from schematic design through final construction documents and beyond.

His design philosophy is to create a home where charm and relaxation unite.
